I think they are there but just hidden in the other split-screen scrambled graphics. There are a few others that are even for the most part invisible. There are a few where you have to be going a certain direction to eat them. That results in the board playing as it should.įirebrand, which 2 'dots' are you referring to? I don't recall any dots that can't be eaten off that board. When I have practiced the split-screen I rack advance to it.I don't 'warp' to it as you seem to have done. It doesn't set anything else so when you start it that way you get the blue time and are moving faster.without running it myself I'm guessing those aspects are just like the cherry board. Oh, cuz all I think that does is set the board #. If you still want to see the pic I have of the 257th screen then I'll send it to RCorcoran and he can post a link to it or you can do the MAME trick (F1). And really, who wants to play that game that much? It would be a long marathon game after that point anyway. So, if there really is a way to get past the split screen then the game looks like it could just go on forever. The split screen came up the second time as well and the next level was the same as the first time I got past the split screen. Then I decided to hit F1 another 256 times just to see if the split screen would come up again for the 2nd time or if the game just continued on from that point without seeing any more split screens. It also proves the game is playable after the split screen but it doesn't prove there is a way to get past the split screen. The ghost are very fast and do not turn blue.

I took a image shot at that next screen which shows a half key on the bottom left and a cherry and half key on the bottom right. And a LOT of work at that! So, when I got there and after losing almost all of my Pac's, I hit F1 again and discovered that the game starts over at the beginning fruit but the level is still very fast like in the 9th key and beyond. And to think someone in the arcades would be willing to play Pac-Man for hours to get to the split screen, just to see if they could actually get past it, time and time again is hard to believe. I can't see any way to get past the split screen. Then I ate all the dots on the split screen and moved around as much as I could looking for hidden dots until I just about lost all of my men. Yea, I used MAME while playing Puck-Man (Japan set 1) and hit F1 on all the screens, which advances to the next screen, until the split screen came up. Alright, I'll let the cat out of the bag.
